ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE SUPERVISOR

• Opportunity to be part of a dynamic, fast paced, ambitious Finance Team

Reporting to the Finance Manager and working closely with department managers, our Accounts Receivable (AR) Supervisor is responsible for managing the Credit and AR teams to ensure all cash receipts throughout the organisation are secure, processed and collected in a timely, orderly and controlled fashion.  We are looking for an experienced AR Supervisor who can help lead a small Credit/AR team and bring new ideas and processes to the table, and work closely with other managers to truly innovate finance!

You will be part of a multi-skilled Finance team and armed with a desire to work in a busy and fast-paced environment, you will be given control of overall development of the Accounts Receivable function including hands-on involvement in reporting and providing analysis on issues impacting company the receivables.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

• Managing the AR Function for all our company entities to ensure the best cash flow for the group
• Ensuring customer payments are received, secured, banked and applied in line with company expectations; Overseeing company banking and cash receipts
• Investigating claims deducted from remittance through to resolution
• Maintaining accurate customer records including up-to-date customer details, answering queries, documenting discussions/communications
• Generating monthly customer statements showing outstanding balances and account status
• Proficient knowledge negotiating with past due accounts, keeping track of cash receipts and referring accounts to collection agencies
• Process and approve credit application forms (with required approvals), performing necessary credit checks
• Manage the reconciliation of PayPal and merchant accounts
• Manage and improve/modify best practice AR Policy
• Assist in managing the AR Function and team;
  • Ensuring staff development plans are in place
  • Reviewing AR policies and processes to achieve group targets and objectives
  • Assist with operational changes to ensure Accounts Receivable is an efficient process and customer balances are simple to access and understood
• Handle customer queries and requests
• Experience in creating financial reports relating to account receivable function and status of accounts
• Assist with the preparation of ad-hoc reports and participation in ad-hoc duties as required

WHO ARE YOU?

• Possess highly competent written and verbal communication skills to interact with both internal and external stakeholders

• Extensive experience in Credit and Accounts Receivable, as well as Supervisory experience
  • Proficient IT skills including a high level of proficiency in Excel
• A demonstrated ability to process large quantity of data quickly and effectively and to deliver results
• Solution-focused, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
• Persistent and resilient under pressure is essential

You will have a strong work ethic and be highly organised and methodical

Have strong Microsoft Office skills, while you will be ideally tracking toward or hold a CPA/CA qualification.
