About the role:

We are seeking a self-motivated entry level/graduate accounts payable officer to join our dynamic accounts team on a full time basis in our Sydney office.
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you must have a good knowledge and understanding of the accounts payable processes in a construction related industry.
  • Processing and coding o invoices including data entry into MYOB, checking and verifying supplier details and invoices against purchase orders
  • Scanning and uploading invoices into the system
  • Dealing with accounts related inquiries via telephone and email
  • Assist with the preparation of weekly payment process
  • Prepare and update aged payables reports
  • Reconcile supplier statements and accounts
  • Assist Construction Managers to resolve payables issues
  • Process petty cash claims, verifying claims and ensure proper approvals
  • General ledger account reconciliations
  • Assist in ad-hoc financial related projects as required
Experience & Skills:
  • Accounts Payable experience
  • MYOB experience preferable, but not essential
  • Relevant accounting qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional Interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Solution-based thinker and problem solver with exceptional attention to detail
