This Australian owned business has been established for well over 30 years and has very strong market credibility due to its continued commitment to providing professional, reliable and efficient equipment hire solutions. An opportunity currently exists within a very experienced and commercially focused management team here in Sydney, and represents a genuine opportunity to transform and lead a sales, business development and operations team towards the achievement of revenue targets in what is a high growth market segment in NSW currently.
Reporting to the General Manager, your mandate is to essentially take managerial control of an operations centre dealing with the specific activities of hire, sales, site works and transport of the company’s products. A key challenge will be to utilise your proven commercial insight and experience in identifying ways to optimise product utilisation and rates, internal protocols and procedures, as well as boost business development opportunities in defined target market segments to increase sales opportunities and convert them.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong sales and operations background in the equipment and industrial rental/hire industry – coupled with proven business management skills - especially the ability to analyse and interpret financial data. Further, you will also be able to demonstrate a ‘hands on’ approach in an operational context, extending to the streamlining and/or review of internal approaches and processes to create more consistent, results oriented outcomes. Importantly, we seek candidates who have been successful in facilitating transformational change across a business unit or team, ideally in a logistically challenging environment.
You possess superior interpersonal skills matched with strong commercial acumen which underpins high energy and drive.
