Lead and drive the transformation for one of Australia’s longest serving national mental health charities.

Aftercare is one of Australia’s longest serving national mental health charities with a proud, 110-year-old history. Employing over 500, Aftercare are a values-driven organisation with over 500 staff in 40 location across Queensland, NSW and Victoria. More than half of their services are in areas transitioning to the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

This role is a direct report to the CEO and forms part of the executive management team. The General Manager Corporate Services (EGMCS) will lead and drive the transformation which is underway from a traditional “financial control” functional mindset to a strategic corporate services function empowering, supporting and driving business performance. You will create and empower a culture of devolved financial management and accountability and provide strategic financial insight for the business (Executive and Board). You will also be responsible for information and communications technology and systems and other assets (buildings, vehicle fleet and more). In your role as EGMCS, you will also have potential oversight of strategic risk management and the development and implementation of a comprehensive data strategy supporting a highly empowered, performance-oriented culture across the organisation (service, people and other non-financial data) - think dashboards and dynamic data.

As the successful applicant, you will be a senior leader and true corporate services professional with strong interpersonal and communication skills, alongside experience in leading transformational change. You’ll ideally be CPA/CA qualified with strong project management and governance experience and have displayed strong decision-making and leadership qualities in previous roles.
