We are looking for an energetic, intelligent, hands-on manager who leads by example and can be instrumental in the delivery of excellent property services. Property and facilities management experience is a must, as is a head for business, combined with mid to long term strategic thinking capability. You will need to simultaneously manage the dollars, deliver on expectations and demonstrate an ability to be of service to both internal and external customers.
Reporting to the General Manager Infrastructure and Network, you will manage a team of 20 plus talented officers, and advise the CEO and Councillors on property portfolio matters.
This is a senior management role leading and delivering all aspects of the property services activity for Dunedin City Council. You will be a member of the Senior Leadership team and an absolute influencer in our organisation.
You will be developing and driving strategy, working closely with the rest of Council, with overall responsibility for a diverse range of facilities, from the Town Hall to community housing. Managing an array of operational activities, including maintenance, tenants, leasing, sale and acquisition, and of course improving the way we do things around here.
