The Clean Energy Council is the peak body for the clean energy industry in Australia. We represent and work with hundreds of leading businesses operating in solar, wind, energy efficiency, hydro, bioenergy, energy storage, geothermal and marine along with more than 5,300 solar installers. We are committed to accelerating the transformation of Australia’s energy system to one that is smarter and cleaner.

We are an incorporated not-for-profit association based in Melbourne and operating nationally. We are funded principally by membership fees, with additional income generated by events and activities such as industry accreditation programs. We provide a variety of services to members, but our primary role is to develop and advocate effective policy to accelerate the development and deployment of all clean energy technologies.

The EGM – Industry Integrity is a pivotal strategic leadership role within the CEC.  The role is key in positioning the CEC as leading and maintaining a high level of integrity and consumer confidence within the growing and evolving clean energy industry. This is underpinned by leading a team that ensures product integrity, strong compliance, accreditation schemes and codes of conduct across the clean energy sector. The role provides leadership to a team of 4 direct reports and is an active member of the Executive Leadership Team.

The key objectives of the EGM – Industry Integrity role are:

  • Overall management of the Industry Integrity function - including articulating the Industry Integrity strategy, resourcing, staff, including performance management, professional development, resource allocation and priority setting.
  • Support and contribute to the leadership and direction of the CEC through the role of ELT member, working collaboratively across teams.
  • Seek opportunities to develop new areas of business, partnerships and collaborations that enhance the overall integrity of the clean energy industry and the CEC.
  • Build strong and productive relationships with external stakeholders, consultants, regulators and business partners.
  • Work with the Installer Accreditation Team to improve the installation standards and technical competence in the PV industry. 
  • Seek and oversee continuous improvement and new opportunities in the way the CEC accreditation scheme is designed and managed.
  • Ensure the systems and processes within Industry Integrity are efficient and effective, utilising resources appropriately and providing best service to our members and the industry.
  • Oversee the continued development and delivery of the CEC's Product Accreditation program and work plan.
  • Work with the Code of Conduct Manager to define and articulate a clear long-term direction for the CEC's CoC, including setting strategy, planning, milestones and metrics of success.
  • Effective strategic management of CEC's role in product listing and delisting.
