ROLE SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Managing Director, this position is a key business partner and a key contributor to the sales of the ASICS AOP business. You will be a critical member of the leadership team as the business continues its organic growth. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing sales that will meet pre-determined targets and increase ASICS market share.

The position of GM Sales will deliver strategic sales management and leadership across the group.

The General Manager of Sales will require strong leadership and communication skills to lead implementation of the business sales improvement initiatives and strategies. The position will also be responsible for leading and coaching members of the sales team and other stakeholders across the business.

This position will have a key influence and impact on the performance and effectiveness of the business. The key result areas are sales generation, people management, customer development, business systems and national responsibilities.

 

DESIRED KNOWLEGDE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A proven track record within a senior sales management position for a multinational brand/s.
  • Demonstrated senior sales management experience in developing innovative business strategies and leading teams to achieve sales targets or exceed targets.
  • Demonstrated experience in consultative selling, negotiating and influencing as well as outstanding relationship management skills to develop strong mutually trusting relationships with key clients and suppliers.
  • Experience in dealing with a broad customer base, both Structured and Unstructured Accounts in a complete matrix environment.
  • High level of business acumen with demonstrated ability to conceptualise the issues and opportunities present in a dynamic organisation including policies, practices, technology, compliance and information management requirements.
  • Energetic and dynamic leader who is accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment.
