The operations team at Hireup is focused on building a sustainable and strategic environment to fuel the organisation’s hyper-growth. Our operational function supports all teams, helping to accelerate projects and address emerging barriers. The Senior Operations Manager’s primary focus will be to work in partnership with the CEO to deliver on the organisation’s strategic agenda. From developing and championing an effective strategic planning process through to working with key teams to deliver on their initiatives and plans, the Senior Operations Manager will have a broad scope of responsibility with huge room to grow with the company. We’re looking for a values-driven, supportive and entrepreneurial project leader with the ability to work cross-functionally to rally and coordinate teams behind a shared goal.

 Priorities – the work

  • In collaboration with the CEO and senior leadership team, help scale the business through the delivery of innovative business strategies and processes
  • Organise and deliver Hireup’s quarterly strategic planning cycle
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across the organisation, including Finance, Marketing, Technology/Product and Service to launch and execute on strategies that align with our values and growth targets
  • Develop and implement processes and programs that aim to reduce operating costs and increase productivity and longevity, for both people and systems
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of organisational drivers of success and work closely with the CEO to manage and enhance them
  • Conduct end-to-end project management to deliver successful projects across the Operations portfolio
  • Work with the wider operations team in supporting our legal, people and culture, recruitment and office management functions

Skills – the person

  • Bachelor’s degree or above and 5 - 7 + years’ experience in operations
  • Experience in owning the project management process, from ideation to execution of projects that support business operations, strategy, change-management and growth
  • Ability to draw strategic insights from analysis and communicate concisely and effectively with stakeholders across the organisation
  • Ability to interpret data to drive business strategies and decisions
  • Adaptability and willingness to roll sleeves up and get involved with all parts of the business
  • Have an agile and strategic mindset with the ability to present structured and actionable solutions and processes
  • Have a balanced mix of people, technical, analytical and operations skills
  • Have experience in scaling operations and enthusiasm for a high paced, team-oriented scale-up environment
  • Strong connection to, or interest in building an understanding of the Australian disability sector and community
  • Exhibit adaptability, resilience, transparency, trustworthiness, passion and innate curiosity
