Navitas, or PIBT as it was then, was founded in 1994 with the goal of helping more international students succeed at university in Australia via improved student support and an extended academic year. Since this time Navitas has significantly expanded the services it offers its students and clients and is now creating opportunities through lifelong learning for over 83,000 people in 31 countries per year.

 

The Navitas Professional operations deliver internship and workplace preparatory courses across seven Australian locations to meet the requirements of national professional associations and the workforce generally.

 

Responsible for effective management of the NSW Navitas Professional operations, to ensure it achieves its goals in terms of finances, student recruitment, student intern placements, operations, administration and program delivery. The NSW Operations Manager has a key role in the business unit, representing all products Navitas Professional has to offer as well as overseeing the operations so as to maintain a quality program.

 

Essential skills and experience

  • Degree qualification, or equivalent work experience suited to the role;
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide leadership and manage a team of experienced staff;
  • Experience in delivering services to students, in particular international students
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in business development, including either student recruitment or business development;
  • Capacity to foster and maintain relationships with external clients, agents and businesses;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrated capability to develop effective working relationships with a diverse range of people including the capacity to  operate as an effective member of a senior management team;
  • Effective time management and organisational skills;
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage a busy workload;
  • Experience using educational software and ability to efficiently learn new software skills

 

Desirable criteria

  • A sound knowledge of the business environment for internships, including internship requirements, visa and regulatory aspects

 

What we offer
