Our Melbourne based partner is a medium sized specialist who import aesthetically pleasing high end interior products. With offices across various countries, our client can boast of a large network of architects and designers and offer a customized approach to staffing, maintenance and operational needs. Typical projects our clients products are visable include luxury accomodation and multi-res apartments. Key to their success and reputation is the focus on sustainability, ethics and collaboration - making them a highly attractive place to work

Currently, and due to significant growth in 2017, they seek an experienced Specification Representative in Melbourne

Duties

  • Secure an existing pipeline of work
  • Identify new opportunities, whilst leveraging existing relationships with leading architects and designers across VIC
  • Technical product support along with product presentations will be an ongoing part of this role
  • Undertaking training and introduction to the business in Melbourne
  • Take control of the existing project pipeline and ensuring they are followed to fruition
  • Presentations to existing & new design firms & developers to gain new project specifications
  • High level of engagement and support from the head office team including sampling etc
  • Expanding new business by creating healthy bonds between new and existing clients
  • Project management - being in sole charge of projects from the specification stage
  • Ensuring the specification is kept
  • Negotiating with the purchaser to receive an order
  • Making sure the client is kept up to date with the status of order
  • Delivery of product



Candidate:

  • An external sales background in the interior building products industry (min 3 years)
  • Strong network of architects and interior designers
  • Strong organisational, planning and negotiating skills
  • A polished presenter - articulate and well presented
  • Able to both hold and gain specifications
  • Someone capable of seeing a project through from start to finish
  • Applicants that have previously sold high end flooring, furniture, lighting, bathroomware, tiles, rugs or carpets, benchtops, architectural hardware would be welcomed
