Kiandra IT is one of Australia’s leading IT service providers and we are currently seeking a highly motivated and passionate Business Development Manager to join our globally recognised Software Development team in Melbourne.

We need an experienced hunter with a drive for finding new opportunities and winning them. Although not a technical role, you will be required to maintain a good understanding of our supported solutions and technologies, drawing on our pre-sales support resources as required defining and articulating technical and business solutions.
Responsibilities include identifying new opportunities, networking and forging new relationships and generating high quality professional proposals and quotes. You will have an eye for detail, always completing tasks and processes diligently, seek guidance from peers and management, and deliver results by identifying what needs to be done and taking action accordingly.

Required Skills, Knowledge & Attributes:
A successful candidate will have:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a successful, autonomous BDM in technology solutions, selling within the mid-market, enterprise and State Government sectors.
- A broad understanding of relevant and emerging IT technologies and solutions
- Sound knowledge of Cloud (IaaS and SaaS) and connectivity solutions
- Passion for the IT industry and keep up to date with best practice & industry news.
In addition, the below skills & attributes will help you be successful in this role:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Effectively engages with C-level executives and IT management roles
- Ability to structure, engage and present information clearly and interestingly to various audiences
- Commitment to quality outcomes and client service; constantly working on building mutually beneficial relationships
- Works tactfully in challenging situations both internally and externally; always acting ethically
- Ability to maintain composure and focus when under pressure, demonstrating optimism and controlling one’s emotions
