About the business and the role
Salumi Australia is a young and rapidly expanding Northern Rivers food business with well-established brand presence nationally.
To achieve targeted growth of customer accounts within the assigned sales region boundaries by effectively selling Salumi Australia products, ensuring that customer satisfaction and quality of product and service delivery are at the forefront of all customer dealings.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Service existing accounts and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule, calling on existing or potential sales outlets and conducting informative and educational product tastings
- Management of stored inventory and data in Fishbowl Inventory System, daily review of stock levels (FIFO), and conduct efficient and accurate data/stock reconciliation reports
- Introduction of new product lines to existing customers, marketing material and plan and implement presentable displays appropriate to the sales outlet (consistent/innovative merchandising)
- Plan and conduct in-store or outlet tastings and participate in trade shows and functions promoting the Salumi Pty Ltd products as required
- Develop a sales strategy to achieve individual and company sales and revenue targets as set out in the Budget
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations to management where needed (through Work In Progress reporting)
- Cultivate effective business relationships with executive decision makers in key accounts
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc and presenting this in a professional manner to Management on a monthly basis
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and training; reviewing professional industry publications; establishing personal industry networks; participating in professional industry events
- Liaise via telephone with the Sales and Marketing Manager on a daily basis and submit sales and customer reports monthly
