The Company

Our client is a leading national enterprise supplying cutting edge process and packaging machinery. Their main focus is on the food industry targeting markets including food and beverage, meat and poultry, dairy, bakery, agricultural and manufacturing, you will work with existing key accounts while proactively developing new business opportunities.

The role

  • External Sales focus on the road developing relationships with target market.
  • Consult with engineering and operations decision makers, procurement and business owners, devise solutions to their production, storage and packaging / processing needs, some CAD based
  • Develop and drive execution of account plans, actively participate in setting and implementing strategy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers in technical, operational and economic functions at the key accounts/plants.
  • Identify new business opportunities and structure creative business packages that tie the organisations best strengths and value propositions with solutions to the accounts' most critical needs.
  • Maintain responsibility for revenue objectives at the accounts, as well as for reaching the qualitative milestones/objectives as defined and agreed in the account plans.
  • Continuously drive account analysis to strengthen our value proposition/offer to the accounts.

 

  • The Person
  • 3+ years in B2B sales with experience selling capital equipment solutions.
  • Extremely high energy level and work ethic, well-organised.
  • Proactive, assertive, risk taker, results and goal-orientated.
  • High technical aptitude, technical (mechanical) background preferred.
  • Ability to develop and grow relationships at executive levels, and to work at multiple levels.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Customer centric mindset, passionate about sales.
  • Credible; able to develop strong relationships within the target accounts.
  • Proven ability to develop large accounts.
  • Ability to evaluate and effectively pursue strategic sales opportunities.
  • Strong self-managed team player.
  • Objective critical thinking capabilities.
