This exciting career opportunity will appeal to a talented and ambitious sales professional looking to work for a highly successful and growing privately owned company operating in the Health and Wellbeing Category. 
  
Reporting to the Head of Sales, Australia & New Zealand, the role of National Account Manager is responsible for the development, planning and executing the sales and business strategies for the Majors and the Pharmacy channel for two Brands.  Customers include Coles, Woolworths, Big W, Target, Chemist Warehouse and Pharmacy Banner Groups.   

Key responsibilities will include

Sales
  • Achieve sales, market share, profit and expenditure targets through the effective implementation of ranging, NPD, marketing plans and channel strategies.
  • Create and maintain business relationships with key customers, pharmacy wholesalers, distributors, retail banners and key customers. JBP development with key channel partners (retail and distributor).
  • Showcase the range in the channel and implement promotional activity across the customer base to drive consumer preferences towards company brands.
Operational Requirements
  • Increase sales volume and value by achieving aligned sales targets within customer base and channels.
  • Manage Total Trade spend within budget for accounts assigned to include rebates, discounts, national Co-Op activity.
  • Maximise ranging, promotional effectiveness, category layouts through the assigned distributor, banners and retail outlets or groups.
  • Report monthly on results and KPI’S.
Strategy and Key Customer Relationships
  • Achieve Total Net Sales as per Target for Assigned distributor and retail customers within the pharmacy Channel
  • Identify and support sustainable and profitable growth through the channel’s key customers.
  • Develop Joint Business Plans with nominated key customers.
  • Develop and implement plans to achieve sales targets
  • Manage and exceed customer profitability targets.
  • Develop channel and customer plans and initiatives for growth.
 
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need to demonstrate:
  
Education/Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in business, nutrition or similar field

Experience
  • Selling skills – demonstrated track record in influencing and negotiating successful retail sales outcomes.
  • Highly developed knowledge of nutrition, health science and wellbeing.
  • Working knowledge of the pharmacy channel and route to market
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in FMCG or Pharmacy in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated effective presentation skills
  • Demonstrated people skills
  • Demonstrated high level knowledge in nutrition and naturopathy.
You will have highly developed communication, analytical and people skills.  You will be flexible and resourceful in overcoming barriers to business solutions as well as self motivated and able to seek out opportunities to grow the company brands.  Strong professional and personal values with regard to treating people with respect and a can-do attitude within a strong team environment will be critical to the success of this role.
