An excellent opportunity for a passionate, driven and enthusiastic training professional looking for the next challenge. We are currently looking for a State Trainer to take the reins and deliver high quality hands on training programs for our client's customers in New South Wales. 

 Australian Brushware Corporation / DIY Resolutions are well established importers, distributors and manufacturers of MONARCH painting tools and accessories, and KABOODLE kitchens, Flatpax laundries and other storage solutions. Supplying leading retailers including Bunnings and other specialist retailers throughout Australia and New Zealand, Australian Brushware Corporation / DIY Resolutions is a leader in the market.

Reporting directly to the National Training Manager, and based out of the New South Wales training facility in Prestons, this role is well suited to an individual with the initiative and tenacity to take ownership of the role, ideally bringing with them experience in training or sales within a similar industry (including hardware, paint and cabinetry).

We are seeking an individual with a passion for working with people and building relationships, bringing with this effective time management skills, enthusiasm and a can-do attitude.

Note: Regular travel is a requirement in this role therefore you must be comfortable with interstate trips to meet training commitments and schedules. Approximately 1 – 2 weeks per month is expected to be spent traveling.

Self-motivation, agility and the ability to work autonomously are key in this role with duties including but not limited to:

  • Maintaining and managing a fully functional training academy, delivering high level of service to the client;
  • Conducting hands on/practical training programs with clients (Bunnings Warehouse team members) within New South Wales and  interstate. 
  • Developing and maintaining expert level product knowledge both theoretical and practical;
  • Conducting off-site training at client information evenings and open nights;
  • Maintaining the State training academy budget and reporting on activities and performance as required;
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships both internally with team members and fellow trainers.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following:

  • Previous experience in a hands on training role and/or experience within the paint and/or hardware industry;
  • Previous experience in a sales/commercial environment is looked upon favourably;
  • A passion for working with people and highly developed presentation skills;
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment is highly advantageous, however not a requirement;
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as in a team;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly and communicate across all levels of end users;
  • Excellent Customer Service skills and dedication to meeting the client's needs ;
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to plan and deliver the training calendar;
  • An understanding and ability for the travel requirements of the role;
  • Highly proactive and innovative;
  • Current Driver's licence
