About the role

An exciting opportunity awaits for a driven and experienced sales manager to generate new business revenue through both new and existing accounts. Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, this valued sales role will be responsible for achieving set revenue and profit targets - specifically you will be responsible for assigned key accounts and generating new leads.

You will be required to:

  • Increase share-of-wallet of existing strategic accounts by nurturing strong and positive commercial relationships throughout the food manufacturing industry.
  • Introduce the business to new potential customers and convert
  • Comply with all quality and HACCP management systems requirements.
  • Arrange and attend product trials with customers.
  • Initiate development of new products.
  • Initiate redevelopments of existing products when required
  • Travel domestically if and when required.
  • Maintain profitable commercial agreements. 

About you

Firstly, you will be looking for a challenge. To be successful in this role you will be a dynamic performer in new business development and account management. Your skills will span the full sales cycle including: prospecting for new business; building rapport with customers; creating proposals; closing deals. You will have:

  • Demonstrable success in revenue opportunities from developing distributor partnerships.
  • Experience in the food industry required and experience in the meat industry considered advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal is essential.
  • Professional presentation.
  • You will be able to work both autonomously within assigned limits and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem solving ability
  • Ideally a Food Science degree (advantageous)
