Due to continued growth, Microhire Victoria has a new position for an audio visual account manager.

Do you have experience in corporate AV as a technician or an account manager? Are you a great communicator with excellent customer service standards and attention to detail?

We are seeking candidates with a background in corporate audio, vision, IT and lighting technologies to manage inbound AV inquiries for events including conferences, meetings, exhibitions, and general AV hire. You will also service a small portfolio of venue accounts managed from our base operation.

Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience with AV, working on conferences, seminars, exhibitions, and similar corporate events/productions as a technician or sales executive. You should also have highly developed organisational skills and a passion for live events.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

As an event professional, you will have a solid understanding of audio, visual, lighting and IT. As the newest member of the base sales team, you will field inbound inquiries, take briefs, and prepare AV quotations accordingly, for transactional customers and managed accounts alike.

While guidance and support will be provided, you are expected to be a self-starter, prepared to take briefs and produce quotations for a range of customers and events.

Your punctuality, customer service skills and grooming standards would be second to none, as would your ability to think on your feet, multi-task, and deal with pressure.

TYPICAL DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Field inbound inquiries, take briefs and prepare quotes in a timely manner.

• Working with stakeholders in a courteous and professional manner.

• Ensure successful outcomes & client satisfaction.

• Ensure that on-site delivery meets client’s objectives as put forth by proposal.

• Ensure events are conducted & delivered continually to a high standard.

QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCY & EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the audio visual events industry;

• Excellent customer service skills (external & internal);

• Excellent communication skills;

• Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks and be organised; work to timeframe under pressure;

• Have good knowledge of audio visual equipment, staging, and lighting;

• Attention to detail;

• Self-motivated;

• Willingness to learn and take opportunities.
