About the Opportunity at Legrand
Working as a respected National team member and reporting to the General Manager, Trade Sales, the National Business Development Manager – Data & Communications is responsible for growing Legrand’s sales and market share in the Data market, enabled through the specification of defined products within key building projects and within the overall direction of Legrand’s strategies and policies.
This role will report to the General Manager, Trade Sales with duties that include:
- Drive, track and monitor projects through all key stages
- Develop, analyse and and strategise key pathways for data installers, distribution and end users Ensure customers are fully trained in the relevant products and are kept up to date
- Identify suitable project opportunities with existing customers and work to ensure the company’s products are understood, promoted and specified
- Define a written strategy per account to ensure best use of Legrand resources for maximum $ return
- Develop Legrand Data product strategies, growth objectives and business plans, based on consultation with the General Manager, Trade Sales
- Drive specification of products relevant to the Data/ICT market
- Maximise opportunities with specified products to leverage Legrand portfolio
To be successful in this role you must demonstrate your ability to manage long term business relationships, selling, negotiation and presentation skills. In addition, your ability to demonstrate strong product and industry knowledge specifically within the data field is an imperative. You will also have:
- More than 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience in successfully achieving sales targets, KPI's and developing and implementing strategies
- Strong verbal and written communication, with good organisational and time management and a strong work ethic
- An ability to communicate and influence across business verticals
