The National Sales Manager is responsible for leading the Australian Monitor Sales function by providing leadership, via a matrix arrangement to a sales team comprising of account managers and technical specialists.  This position is accountable for all aspects of the customer relationship and sales process including sales budget, opportunity identification, pipeline management, relationship management, customer satisfaction metrics, proposal development and solution design as it relates to the Australian Monitor product line.

You are expected to:

  • overall sales targets as specified by the business including revenue, gross margin and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, end users and consultants.
  • Own and grow the sales pipeline and bid management process and ensure closure/conversion targets are met.
  • Develop a national sales strategy including quarterly action plans to be executed by the team.
  • Implement account planning for key accounts and ensure team is equipped to undertake solution selling.
  • Develop a best in class sales team with intimate knowledge of the customer, a high level of drive and initiative, extensive competitive intelligence and whole-of-business thinking.
  • Maintain a commitment to Hills Workplace Health & Safety, and Environmental Management Systems.

You will have the following experience or skills:

  • Experience selling into the Commercial AV contractor market at senior levels would be highly desirable
  • Proficiency and understanding of Audio at an advanced level.
  • Proven track record in sales achievement and the ability to effectively manage customers.
  • Proven track record in leading and managing a high performing multi-disciplinary sales team, including recognition and corrective action where required.
  • Proven ability to effectively delegate and leverage the team to achieve business goals.
  • Competent and effective presenter, able to confidently present to large groups of customers and industry stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience in preparing and managing a sales pipeline including opportunity qualification, proposal and quotations
