About the Role

The role of Sales & Marketing Support focuses on performing sales & marketing administration duties and basic customer engagement to support the Business Development team. The role aims to enable the front-end sales team to drive business growth and customer engagement. 

In the role, you will be mainly responsible for:

Pre-Sales:

  • Working closely with BDM team and Estimator on developing of basic quotations to the market place (to be defined to take basic workload from Varun)
  • Supporting the BDM team with feasibilities, budgets, supplier pre-qualification questionnaires, and other pre-sales activities, management of website log ins (tenderlink /ICN/Global data etc)
  • Ensuring speedy response to customers to cover for BDM’s absence due to travel commitments when required
  • Liaising with internal piers (logistics/customer service/PM’s /Planning/estimator/purchasing) to respond to customer enquiries and own the process

Post-Sales:

  • Project Co-ordination of major projects with key clients (particularly large contractors) development of a project file and ownership of the complete process of internal co-ordination from order entry by customer service to shipping to site by Logistics. (single point of contact for customer)
  • After sales service/ follow ups
  • Warranty issues and credits in conjunction with customer service
  • Facilitating internal communication to enable speedy responses to customers chasing PO’s etc

CRM Management:

  • Supporting BDM team with the creation and maintenance of opportunities as well as deriving reports for Sales follow up in conjunction with Estimator
  • Facilitating reports from Salesforce
  • Supporting with entering of calls for BDM’s if required with appropriate detail as required by Senior Management
  • Following up on smaller value quotes with past closing date to generate more revenue

Technical Enquiries Co-ordination:

  • Managing of technical responses generated from product managers in response to Electrical consultant enquiries
  • Liaising with PM’s

Marketing:

  • Co-ordinate basic marketing activities using available resources
  • Liaising with suppliers around local marketing collateral
  • Assisting local marketing initiatives, creating brand awareness and market recognition for TE products

About you:

To be successful in gaining this role we are looking for someone who;

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a Sales Administration role (Electrical Industry would be advantageous)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Business.
  • Experience using Sales Force system
  • Exquisite communication and people skills
  • Is a highly organised, can self-manage and take initiate, as well as seek assistance where required.
  • Enjoys working in a fun filled environment but also can work under pressure
