The Opportunity

The Key Account Manager opportunity is a 8 month maternity leave contract, with an immediate start. This role is responsible for managing key accounts, developing and maintaining a long term relationship with key account stakeholders and maximising sales/gross margin opportunities within them.
  
As the Key Account Manager reporting directly to the National Business Development Manager, you will:

• Support and collaborate with Business Unit Business Development teams on all aspects of account management, ensuring delivery and identification of growth opportunities
• Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports including the communication of monthly and quarterly progress to key internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure the scope of work is being performed according to service level agreement requirements and all escalated matters are addressed in a timely manner
• Identify and oversee the implementation of service improvement initiatives and coordinate continuous professional development programs relating to the contract
• Forecast and track key account metrics 

About you

• Proven track record in Account Management and Sales is required; experience in understanding customer needs and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
• Previous experience in pathology is highly advantageous
• Tertiary degree in a relevant Business discipline is highly regarded
• Strong networker with advanced interpersonal and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams
• Evidenced commercial acumen and problem solving ability with the capacity to offer innovative solutions
• Demonstrated competence in computer literacy with knowledge of MS Office and Outlook
