Auto Surplus is a family business and has been supplying parts to the automotive industry since 1970 - specialising in veteran, vintage, classic and modern day vehicles.
Based in a purpose built showroom and warehouse in Mitcham, the company is experiencing significant growth across all our sales channels, with exceptional growth in eBay and online sales. We require an enthusiastic, experienced online sales person to join our online sales team, focusing on eBay sales. The position is full time.
Previous automotive mechanical experience and a passion for motor vehicles is not mandatory but will be considered favourably when assessing candidates.
Key responsibilities
- eBay new product listings & management of existing listings
- eBay and online store data analysis & research (internal, competitor, market)
- eBay reporting
- eBay store development and maintenance
- Responding to customer questions and queries
- Assist with preparation of quotes and invoices when required
- Answering phone calls, emails and faxes
- Assist warehouse with picking and packing sales orders when required
Qualifications & experience
- Online and/or eBay sales experience is mandatory
- Experience in retail and/or wholesale automotive parts sales and knowledge of the automotive industry is very favourable
- Mechanical experience is very favourable
- Strong computer skills including ability to use the internet, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong customer service focus
- Exceptional communication skills
- Must have the ability to work autonomously and within a small team
