About the Role... 

The Product / Market Development Manager is a unique role where you will have responsibility for delivering on the business growth strategy and developing new products and market channels. In this diverse role you will be required to manage co-manufacturing and licensing relationships and account manage new market channels such as on line sales and identified defined territories.  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Prepare and achieve annual sales forecast by product/account/region
• Increase customer category presence and cost control within budget limitations.
• Plan and manage emerging and license market development, management of e-commerce, online sales accounts.
• Develop, recommend and implement new product development projects.
• A specialist in packaging formats, design and creativity.
• Project management.  

About You...

As someone with experience in a similar role you will be able to hit the ground running in leading the way to identify new market channels, such as online sales. Identifying new product initiatives you will be able to expertly take them from initial concept, to finalisation and distribution. 

You will enjoy working with a range of stakeholders both within the business and in new market channels.  Working and participating as part of a team, where your can do attitude and ability to adapt to changing priorities is of the utmost importance. 

To be successful, you will need to have the following:

• Experience in a similar role with at least 5 years experience.
• Thorough knowledge of grocery market and trends in Australia, confectionery market desired.
• Qualifications in marketing, commerce, food processing technology or business preferred but not essential.
• Able to build and maintain relationships, innovate and problem solve.  
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
• Sound knowledge and understanding of food hygiene (HACCPs).
• Commitment to safety and quality.
