Eagle Lighting Australia (a member of the Fagerhult group) has a rich 45 year history. Based in the Melbourne Airport business precinct, Eagle Lighting Australia designs, manufactures and markets professional lighting solutions as well as distributing an extensive range of high end architectural and outdoor lighting products under the Fagerhult, SIMES, Designplan and LED Linear brands.

Eagle Lighting Australia has recently teamed up with LED Linear, a worldwide leading manufacturer of innovative linear lighting solution, to distribute high quality LED Linear products and applications to indoor and outdoor environments. To support this recent expansion of our business we have an exciting opportunity, for an experienced Business Development Manager, to drive the promotion of LED Linear lighting solutions to the Architectural, Commercial, Retail and Outdoor Lighting sectors across the Melbourne market. Reporting to the Victorian State Sales Manager, this role will involve:

  • Identify new opportunities and drive the promotion and growth of LED Linear solutions in the Melbourne market
  • Develop and manage strong long term business relationships with Architects, Commercial Builders, Designers and Contractors.
  • Deliver LED Linear lighting solutions, lighting designs and technical product advice to your clients that will see you delivering on sales budgets whilst also developing market growth and a healthy sales pipeline
  • Work closely with a dedicated internal support team to collaborate on projects and share valuable information in the Salesforce CRM
  • Closely manage all of your projects to ensure the specification of LED Linear products on projects is secured through to project delivery
  • Work closely with Eagle Lighting Australia's Account Managers to provide technical and sales support and act as a 'LED Linear brand champion'.
  • Participate in continued product training and education, including overseas travel to LED Linear in Germany

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Our ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Highly motivated, self-driven, experienced sales professional who is passionate about developing business
  • Experienced in the commercial lighting or architectural industry with a thorough  understanding of the specification market and a genuine passion for the technical and design aspects of lighting
  • Demonstrated successful sales and business development results, ideally using SPIN Selling Techniques (a Needs/Solution selling model) 
  • Demonstrated project management skills and stakeholder management, including regular use of a CRM
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • An analytical thinker with strong business acumen.
