Southcott Pty Limited is one of Australia's leading Hydraulic System design, supplier, and manufacturer and distribution businesses. Southcott's both manufacture and import leading brands such as Walvoil, Casappa, Command Controls, Faster, Gates Hose, Child couplings and power units. It sells its products through a network of branches and distributors across the country.

Expressions of interest are being sought from experienced individuals for the role of Territory Sales Manager, located in Newcastle . We are seeking a person with proven sales and key account management skills, is results orientated and can make a significant contribution to the businesses future growth in the Newcastle Region.  You will be responsible for developing territory sales and account managing a number of key customers. You will be required to maintain and grow effective relationships with a number of key existing clients as well as focusing on and establishing a number of new clients and business opportunities for the business.

The role reports to the Branch Manager and is a key position in the Hydraulics Sales team.

Key requirements of the role include;

  • Development and implementation of contact plans

  • Achieve agreed sales and earnings objectives within the allocated sales base and sales territory

  • Account Manage and grow a number of key accounts for the business

  • Understand and anticipate clients existing and future needs

  • Develop joint strategies that are mutually beneficial to all parties

  • Provide customer support to clients through solving technical problems using company products

  • Maintain effective communication and cooperation with the company's sales and technical teams

  • Provide reports on sales and territory covered on a regular basis

Ideally you will have:

  • Qualifications or Technical/Trade Skills in Hydraulics and/or Hose and Fittings

  • 5+ years' experience in Hydraulics or Fluid connector operations

  • Proven sales and key account management experience

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Sound listening and fault finding skills

  • Experience in gathering user requirements and documentation an advantage

  • Ability to multi task

The position is based in our Beresfield Office and will require regular regional travel.
