About you

As an experienced sales professional you will have a strong electric motor or variable speed drives background. Your responsibilities are to grow sales from existing customers as well as develop new customers and markets. You will achieve this by completing regular customer visits, cold calling potential clients and meeting sales targets in order to grow the business. You will have the support of the leading brand in the market, the industry's most experienced sales team, and a company culture that values team spirit, driven and committed employees.

This position is based out of our Sydney Head Office in Smithfield and reporting to the Regional Manager of NSW.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Grow sales and margins.
  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn it into increased business.
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client's organisation. Cold call as appropriate to bring new customers in. 
  • Call planning and reporting through CRM
  • Plan sales approaches and strategies.
  • Work with the internal team to develop proposals that meet the client's needs and objectives, as well as overcome their objections.
  • Participate in pricing decisions, solution and service offering.
  • Handle objections and working through differences to achieve a positive sales outcome.
  • Client Retention
  • You will report your successes and findings weekly via progress reports and sales meetings.

You will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in customer facing sales role.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience within the electric motors or VSD industry.
  • Sound call cycle planning skills. 
  • Strong sales lead generation and conversion skills.
  • Ability to develop and manage sales.
  • Presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Interpersonal, listening, questioning and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to identify new business opportunities and close deals.
  • Sound product and market knowledge.
  • CRM experience.
  • Ability to self-motivate and prioritise accordingly.

 

The successful applicant will receive a company car, mobile phone and a laptop. It is expected that this position will require frequent travelling within the state.
