About the role 

Our Consumer Products division is seeking a driven and adaptable Commercial Business Planner to join their commercial team. You'll put your sales planning and forecasting skills to work owning the sales forecasting and planning functions.

You will be a crucial interface between the commercial planning function and other areas of the business, including supply chain, marketing, finance and our international businesses. In addition your responsibilities will include:

  • Creation and development of monthly channel/customer based sales forecast through analysis of sales data baseline promotions and launches.
  • Aggregate the total sales forecasts in units and consolidated sales then analyse all available facts and figures to identify potential gaps.
  • Validate sales forecasts and proactively propose forecast adjustments to key stakeholders.
  • Participating in the Sales and Operation Planning process culminating in forecast validation meetings by providing analytical data to support decision making.  

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have strong experience within fast-paced environment acting in sales analysis or forecasting capacity. Possessing the capability to manage complexity in a high pressure environment you will be able to effectively communicate meaningful information to different areas of the business. A considerable analytical skill set will be highly regarded as will a collaborative mind-set. Previous experience within the retail or FMCG environment will be advantageous as will a flexible, results oriented approach.
