ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an ambitious person to join our Townsville Transport team in the role of Sales Representative. You will be given opportunity to understand our operations first hand before hitting the road, and have the support of our branch and wider business to ensure you hit the ground running. This exciting role would best suit a professional, driven, passionate individual who is looking for a successful organisation that will offer experience from the ground up, as well as future career development opportunities.

This role is primarily responsible for new business development by creating strategic and long lasting relationships with potential new customers. This is a great opportunity to join our successful, supportive and enthusiastic team.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Core focus on territory based new business development through North Queensland – from Mackay to Cairns.
  • Multitier relationship building within our existing customer portfolio.
  • Working closely with other business units to sell full supply chain solutions.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Be a team player with a positive attitude & open to learning our business inside and out.
  • Demonstrated success in new business development. Previous employment in the Transport and logistics industry is not a prerequisite.
  • Disciplined, responsible and structured in order to thrive in a highly autonomous position.
  • Exceptionally well presented with impeccable oral and written communication skills.
  • Sound computer knowledge, particularly using Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
