About the opportunity
The Business Development Manager (BDM) reports into the Regional Sales Manager – NSW & ACT. Your primary objective is to drive sales through relationship development and maximising business opportunities of existing and new B2B clients within your region, with the main focus on new clients.
The majority of your time will be on the road meeting B2B clients in your region which spans across the South West Sydney region including Revesby, Punchbowl, Campbelltown and Liverpool, etc.
You will leverage your existing relationships as well as Compass’ existing clients through account management and uncover new business opportunities using your relationship and sales expertise. Your main B2B clients are smash/collision repairers and you will also work with tow truck drivers and insurance brokers.
Requirements
Essential:
- A proven track history in sales, account management or new business development (BDM).
- A full and clean driver’s licence, in order to perform daily duties.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle clients with complete professionalism including dispute resolution.
- A naturally confident communicator to be able to build rapport & strong relationships.
- Tech savvy and able to use company software & iPad’s with ease.
- Well respected within the marketplace with a number of key contacts that you can leverage off.
- Ability and drive to achieve and exceed targets.
- Organised with good time management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously on the road.
- Ability and drive to achieve and exceed targets.
- Ability to make prompt, precise decisions
Highly regarded/desired:
- Experience in the repair, automotive, insurance industry is highly regarded.
- A basic knowledge of motor vehicles is desired.
