Jumbla works with a large global client base of advertising agencies, production companies, video game studios, other animation studios, as well as corporate and government clients. This role is critical to helping us achieve our vision of being the best animation and motion graphics studio in Australia and the UK by 2020.


About the Role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating new high-value business opportunities, managing the relationships of new clients in Australia / internationally, and finding opportunities for repeat business within our CRM.

Jumbla currently works with a large global client base of advertising agencies, production companies, video game studios, other animation studios, as well as corporate and government clients. This role is critical to helping us achieve our vision of being the best animation and motion graphics studio in Australia.

You will be responsible for creating and implementing an outbound sales structure that is effective in establishing new relationships with high value clients and winning new business. The day-to-day will involve working with our marketing team, making new client connections, and then working closely with the creative and production teams in Melbourne to deliver proposals and close deals. Some travel will be necessary.

 

About You

You will have substantial sales and business development experience, preferably but not necessarily in a creative or agency role.

  • 5+ years' experience in a dynamic business development role

  • Experience in a creative industry (design, video production, ad agencies, VFX, animation, post production, etc) or other agency setting is favourable

  • Proven experience in finding, growing and maintaining relationships with high-value clients

  • Great verbal and written communication skills

  • Exceptionally well-organised

  • Proven closer

  • Hunger to provide solutions, not reasons why something can’t be done

  • Desire to own decisions and take sales to closure

  • Satisfaction in creating own leads and persistently following these to turn prospects into long-term clients

  • Experience in tracking and reporting on all BDM activities (Hubspot CRM knowledge is a bonus).
