We currently have an exciting opportunity for a career driven Sales Manager who can create and grow a sales orientated team to increase our presence in the Perth Construction market segment.

Reporting directly to our National Sales Manager for Major Projects, you will be responsible for:

  • Proactively complete prospecting activities and pursue business development opportunities to develop new profitable business and growth with new and existing project/construction customers
  • Develop and implement target account and projects strategies inclusive of short and long term sales plans and budgets. Proactively liaise and support channel sales teams to ensure flow of customer information and to work as a team to strengthen customer relations and drive sales
  • Provide technical support as required to internal team members nationally as required
  • Support the negotiation and execution of supplier agreements. Assist with the development of tenders, quotations and customer proposals
  • Complete any reporting including submitting Monthly Reports as required, to a professional standard
  • Ensure all appropriate actions are taken to implement HSE policies, procedures and legislative requirements in accordance with WIS and customer requirements

As the successful applicant you will possess extensive sales leadership experience with construction segment exposure in any industry. You will have a strong track record of achieving results and be passionate about growing and developing a team of sales professionals to increase market share. This is a very hands on management role which will see you participating in client visits and consistently exploring new development opportunities, you will need strong business development experience coupled with outstanding communication, negotiation and presentation to maximise your potential.

You will be the creator and driver of sales growth and margin enhancement strategies whilst being proactive in reviewing budgets and KPI results. You will be responsible for motivating and mentoring your sales team to facilitate the achievement of the company's goals, vision and values. This is very exciting role within Blackwoods which will change and develop with the company’s new direction to become a world-class supplier of industrial and safety products.
