Our client is a leading Australian packaging company. They are a passionate and ambitious company looking for a driven Account Manager in their Oakleigh South facility in Melbourne.  

Job Description

You will be working as part of an established business, selling diverse packaging solutions and packaging machinery. Reporting to the National Sales Manager you will be responsible for product sales maintenance of existing client relationships as well as sourcing new opportunities.

A Successful Applicant will have:

• A proven background in Sales
• Strong account management skills
• Experience within the packaging industry is preferred but is not essential
• Own car to visit clients (car allowance will be provided)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• The candidate will be responsible for servicing and growing the local shrink and specialty film business as well as providing total packaging solutions through equipment sales and general packaging consumables. 
• The role is 80% managing existing accounts and promoting products to them and 20% prospecting and growing the business.
• Prospect for new shrink and speciality film accounts & enquiries. Promote their range of machinery wherever possible
• Close cooperation & liaison with National Consumables Manager
• Maintain and submit reasonable records of customer contacts and prospects
• Liaise with management on product promotion, marketing plans and budgets
