Coogee is seeking an Accounts Manager to join our Queensland Sales team as we pursue growth opportunities in the Queensland market. This exciting role will provide the right candidate the opportunity to apply their skills set as we grow during this exciting period during which we seek to further develop our client base whilst providing professional engagement and maintenance of our existing customer list.
Based at our Lytton Chlor-Alkali facility and with responsibility for overseeing customer accounts for our southern Queensland business this role will be critical to supporting and driving the future development of the Coogee business within Queensland market.
Coogee is an innovative and highly successful private company undertaking the supply of industrial and mineral processing chemicals to the Australian and International markets. Our expansive Queensland operations provide numerous products and services, including chemical manufacturing, transport and storage tank terminals, to a variety of clients across the region.
The core responsibilities of the Account Manager role are:
- manage assigned customer accounts to achieve increased sales, increased gross profit and portfolio growth
- proactively and regularly engage existing customer to achieve company sales plans and maintain maximum contribution margin
- develop new business opportunities for the Chlor-Alkali and other industrial application products
- review value added opportunities in existing accounts to drive organic revenues
- communicate market information and ideas to the Sales Manager concerning new opportunities and the competitive position of any product or market
We are looking for a highly motivated technical professional who has:
- demonstrated Account Management experience
- tenacity and commitment to achieving sales targets
- the ability to build long term strong business relationships
- accounts management skills including negotiating and persuasion skills
- advanced communication skills (written, oral and interpersonal) and computer skills, especially Microsoft Office suite.
- strong presentation, well-developed time management and organisational skills;
- the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
Previous experience in the water or swimming pool industries would be highly regarded but is not essential. For the right candidate, this is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding and multi-disciplined business.
