Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is part of a global brand providing a variety of machinery for the construction and mining industries.

An opportunity has become available for a focused and motivated individual to join our Revesby branch in the position of Major Accounts Manager.

This role will have you selling a large range of construction within NSW region.


Reporting to the Sales Manager, your main responsibilities include:

  • Manage an existing network of customers and explore new customers via promotional activities, industry expositions and cold calling.
  • Preparation and submission of tenders
  • Front lines sales prospecting with new and existing customers within your portfolio
  • Ensure all potential and existing customers are contacted on a regular basis and provided with current information on company products and services.
  • Assist with setting and achieving product budgets
  • Liaise with product managers to develop a client profile to determine the extent of business available within the market place
  • Driving general marketing, trade shows and other activities to grow the business
  • Reporting of activity, prospects, sales opportunities and competitor activity


To be successful you will need:

  • Previous experience in selling to earthmoving, or associated industries
  • Act with a sense of urgency completes tasks within time allotted
  • Be self-motivated and be able to build long term relationships
  • Identification of continuous improvements within your area of responsibility
  • The ability to travel as required within your region
