The Motor Trades Association of Queensland is an Industrial Organisation of Employers which represents and assists businesses involved in the retail, service and repair sectors of Queensland's automotive industry. MTAQ is currently seeking a pro-active person to join the team in the role of AREA MANAGER.
The successful person will report directly to the Deputy CEO and will be responsible for ensuring that the members needs in his/her respective area are represented, promoted and developed in the appropriate manner.
This is a combined role with equal focus on membership calls and sales of products we offer across the Association.
The Area Manager will be the Association's primary contact for members in their assigned geographic territory. The successful candidate will be required to set individual business and action plans for the provision of services to members and to actively encourage member standards in their territory. In addition they will be required to achieve goals around gaining new members to the Association and selling our range of products including training.
The successful person will be able to quickly grasp issues and regulation pertinent to the industry across all MTA Queensland divisions and will also be required to become a specialist within assigned Divisions.
As the role requires extensive meeting preparation and reporting, the successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills and will be a strong communicator.
The successful applicant will posses a high level of interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, consultative in approach and have a genuine commitment to achieving results. Experience in the Motor Industry or allied Industries would be an advantage, however, highly developed skills in other disciplines, as described, will be taken into consideration. Computer literacy is considered essential to this position.
This position has an attractive salary package including a phone and fully maintained vehicle. The successful applicant will be responsible for the areas Brisbane North up to and including Bundaberg and some western area.
