This well established organisation provides products and services to the HVAC space. They specifically specialise in Heating and Cooling and the range of their clients consist of Wholesalers, Dealers, Industrial, FMCG and Automotive. The Melbourne based team is looking for a Sales Engineer to join their dedicated team of professionals.


Your new role

  • Prospect for potential new customers and turn this into increased business.
  • Cold call as appropriate to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Meet potential customers by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
  • Identify potential customers and the decision makers within the customer organisation.
  • Prospect for new business, present to them, ultimately convert them into customers, and continue to grow business.
  • Plan approaches and pitches, work with the team to develop proposals that speak to the customer’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Participate and lead where necessary in pricing the product or the overall value proposition.
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasising agreements and working through differences to reach a definite win/win solution.
  • Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
  • Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture key demographics



What you'll need to succeed

  • Sectorial experience in technical-sales experience in the HVAC industries
  • Graduated in Engineering (building construction, mechanical) or Architect will be a bonus
  • Ambitious, hardworking and eager to learn.
  • You will have a passion for sales and business development.
  • You will have experience with working with different business channels and building new ones
  • You will be able to manage a team and create startegic business plans
  • You will have strong interpersonal skills and have a technical mind in regards to the construction industry
