The Role:
Seeking an experienced business development manager with extensive experience in financial services, payments, internet or retail industries. The role is based in Australia and will support the Country Manager to build and develop ’s business in Australia and NZ. There is also extensive interaction with product and other support teams in China, so an ability to travel is needed
Key responsibilities include:
·Developing and executing sales strategies for existing and new customers to grow acceptance and usage of in Australia and NZ.
·Identifying, developing and closing deals with merchants or partners, including negotiating contracts.
·Supporting CM in developing and implementing the country strategy.
·Driving growth of and creating value for acquirers, merchants, marketing partners and customers.
·Generating deep relationships with clients to differentiate from its competitors
·Working closely with the product organization in Hangzhou
·Preparing weekly and monthly reports as required.
Key capabilities
·Proven record of Business Development and Strategic selling to corporations and large merchants in payments, financial services, tourism, internet or retail industries
·Proven ability to identify, generate, qualify, develop, negotiate & close opportunities
·Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships at senior levels
·Experience working in or with start-ups or businesses undergoing rapid growth
·Ability to work well in a fast-paced changing environment
·Self-starter with a practical common sense approach, and a good team player
·Tech savvy
Minimum Requirements
·Minimum 5 years senior business development experience with a proven track record of success with large businesses in Australia / NZ
·Bachelor's degree in Business or related areas required; MBA preferred.
·Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
·Excellent verbal and written Chinese communication skills
·Knowledge of Cross Border payments market is a must.
·Knowledge of China market is a big plus.
·Ability to travel extensively
