The Company

As a major supplier and leader in the Australian Fork truck rental and sales industry, our client is currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their team. They are widely recognised as the leading provider of excellence in product offering and promises to deliver the latest in EWP technology, an exceptional level of service and a personal guarantee to their clients and employees.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager. Your Roles will include but not limited to
  • Responsible for generating profitable forklift sales and long term rentals within the designated geographic territory.
  • Develop and co-ordinate effective client relationships with customers to promote and ensure maximum market penetration and gross profit average of the access product range
  • Maintain and build growth for the business for future sustainability
  • Demonstrate a professional approach out in the market place with both external and internal customers and improve the on-going performance with establishing new client relationships


Your Profile

You will be an ambitious Business Development Manager who enjoys meeting new people, who has proven history in creating and maintaining client relationships. You will also be self-motivated and demonstrate high levels of initiative and judgement with excellent communication and analytical skills, as well as an inherent ability to build and maintain vital internal and external relationships with key stake-holders.  

  • Regularly present Market Trend Data, Sales Reports etc. in a timely manner
  • As required, work closely with the appropriate internal staff to ensure all aspects of the sale is closed out
  • Ensure follow up with customers and provide the appropriate sales information to exceed customer requirements
  • Timely completion of all reporting requirements
  • Provide service that exceeds customer expectations
  • Analyse sales volume, conversion rate data and cross-selling ratios to monitor sales performance
  • Follow forklift Policy and procedures to support attainment of sales targets
  • Provide constructive feedback to the Branch Manager on the performance of client development
  • Ensure submission of enquiries, quote, demos to Branch Manager on a weekly report
  • Initiating interpersonal communication with clients to establish business relationships
  • Always seeking continuous improvement in the sales arena
  • Develop new client relationships to establish growth in the industry
