Cenvet Australia Pty Limited is a leading distributor of animal health care products to the veterinary industry.

Reporting directly to the Northern Regional State Manager (NSW & QLD) of Cenvet this role is responsible for acting as a Senior Sales Representative of the organisation in QLD and is responsible for the in-field sales motivation, sales management and achievement of sales objectives for Cenvet within QLD.

The key responsibilities will be:

  • Managing the activities of the company in the state in conjunction with Senior Management to ensure its profitable operation;
  • Liaising with senior management on the attainment of budgets, schedules and target objectives in all areas;
  • Participating in the development of sales policy, recommending product line revisions as well as pricing changes;
  • Managing the in-field sales organisation and distribution of products/services within a defined region, division or state;
  • Promoting good relations with suppliers and customers, and maintaining contact with major key accounts;
  • Managing and motivating the sales team and measuring performance against agreed objectives;
  • Preparing sales reports for management on a regular basis;
  • Monitoring new product launches, promotion, advertising and merchandising activities, meetings and presentations;
  • Recruiting necessary sales staff and overseeing training requirements;
  • Promoting the marketing of company products/services, developing new customers through the application of selling skills;
  • Maintaining appropriate communications within and between various functional areas within QLD;
  • Maintaining regular service to allocated customers in a nominated geographical area or district in order to achieve set sales targets;
  • Promoting good relationships;
  • Ascertaining competitor activity and other relevant information and reporting this to management;
  • Undertaking other duties as required by the organisation.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A full, clean driver's license;
  • A strong and positive ‘can do’ attitude;

  • Present self in appropriate professional business attire and with appropriate standard of grooming;
  • Animal industry experience (highly desired);
  • Preferred formal marketing or sales qualifications;
  • Strong knowledge of people management;
  • Strong key account management;
  • Strong selling skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Strong leadership qualities;
  • Ability to proactively contribute to sales and undertake business development activities in a professional manner.
