About the business and the role

Telstra Business Centre North Ryde s is responsible for small to medium sized business customers within the local area. 

We're a fast paced environment with a vast knowledge base between our staff providing our customers the best possible experience with every interaction.

The core of your role will be managing an existing customer base identifying retention strategies, cross sell and up sell opportunities, closing over the phone, identify new sales opportunities through Prospecting & Lead Generation.

Reporting directly to a sales manager you will be working with a medium sized team contacting our customers on a regular basis.

Job tasks and responsibilities

• Meeting prospects to present a targeted proposition to their needs.
• Identify new sales prospects, present, quote and close the sale.
• Ensure you are meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Develop and maintain strong business relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.
• Ensuring proposals prepared for clients are professional, compliant and accurate.

Skills and experience

• Engaging and professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales targets and customer expectations.
• Ability to build and maintain business relationships with clients.
• Motivation, energy and passion to create a great team environment.
• Proven Outbound/Onbound Telephone Experience (preferred)
• Previous telecommunications experience (preferred, but not essential)
