My client is one of the national leaders in the manufacturing of steel building products including roof and wall cladding, gutters, flooring and structural formwork.

With a national footprint in every state and territory in Australia they have seen a major growth in their business in the last couple years, which has seen them expand on their already successful manufacturing and distribution centers throughout Australia.

Job description:

Due to their rapid success within the last couple of years they are now looking to expand their sales team within Sydney and Melbourne. You will be liaising with external and internal customers to ensure a streamlined and efficient service is delivered setting up robust processes with an element of flexibility to ensure a positive outcome is delivered. You will be required to manage and grow the existing customer portfolio while also generating and prospecting for new opportunities.

Working with a range of different products your role will have you negotiating price and service terms for new customers and different small, medium and larger scale projects. Depending on your given territory you will be given a set monthly budget to adhere by which will see you map out and target your next point of contact.

With a large and growing competitor market out there you will be up against some tough individuals which will see you out perform and build lasting relationships with key stakeholders to see return business in the future. You will be required to attend display and trade shows to showcase your business brand, products and services, this will also be an excellent opportunity for you to secure new business and inject growth to your current portfolio.

To be successful:

  • 3-5 years sales experience
  • Experience in commercial or multi residential industry 
  • Background in building and construction
  • Excellent ability to develop and prospect new clients
  • Strong customer service
  • Ability to cold call
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Ability to establish and build customer relationships as well as with wider stakeholder groups
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Professional mannerism

On offer:

  • Base salary of $75k - $85k
  • Uncapped commission
  • 9.5% Superannuation
  • Fully maintained company car
