Roy Morgan has an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial and enthusiastic Business Development Consultant to join our growing Sales and Consulting team.

You will be responsible for building and developing a pipeline of new opportunities across industries, and achieving quarterly and annual sales targets. We are looking for excellent performers with consultative experience, strategic ability, commercial understanding and proven ability to maintain strong C-level and senior management relationships.

Key Focus:
  • Prospect, qualify and develop new potential leads within assigned industries to generate new revenue sources.
  • Participate in the refinement of the sales execution process, to improve sales efficiency
  • Establish relationships, understand business drivers and sell new CS solutions to identified targets within assigned vertical/territory, with a key focus on data acquisition.
  • Understand the full suite of Roy Morgan products and ensure all opportunities to commercialise these products is delivered and articulated in the market.
  • Manage all opportunities through to deal closure.
  • Provide thought leadership by bringing new and innovative ideas and approaches to assist clients in achieving their business objectives.
  • Become a trusted business advisor to assigned vertical industries through education, networking and understanding of key initiatives and Roy Morgan value proposition.
  • Work with Marketing to determine industry and individual approaches, joint pitches, defining and delivering marketing activity to achieve ROI.
  • Monitor assigned vertical trends and conduct competitor/industry research and analysis, as well as communicate information internally for mutual benefit of Sales & Consulting colleagues.

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in sales and account management
  • Possess strategic business development skills and commercial understanding
  • The ability to influence senior stakeholders across multiple industry sectors
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills
