About the Business: PS Importers is a leading distributor in the Australian Motorcycle & Scooters industry, who seeks to employ an experienced Parts, Accessories and Clothing Manager based in our Altona Head office.

About the Role; you will be a Parts, Accessories and Clothing expert, who will be an enthusiast in driving the performance of products throughout our dealer network in Australia. You will work closely with our National Sales and Marketing Manager to ensure our Dealers have the latest and greatest products our brands have to offer at the right time. You will be responsible for range selection, promotion and analysis to see the successful growth of this department of PSI.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Sales, Customer Service Performance;

  • Set dealer targets for sales of parts, accessories and clothing, monitor and report performance
  • Ensure adequate dealer inventory of materials and products in line with customer service objective.
  • Implement plans for CSI performance improvement from a PAC perspective
  • Manage daily order operations, dealer PAC campaigns and process’s; demo and hero bike kits
  • Plan and organize show/event stock and coordinate display and sales at shows/events

Inventory management;

  • Coordinate weekly and monthly factory orders, liaise with factory, freight forwarders on inbound supply pipeline
  • Collate future/indent dealer orders and place with factory
  • Manager obsolete and high risk inventory
  • Manage factory price benchmark data
  • Liaise with Warehouse Manager to ensure inventory accuracy, timely order fulfilment, stock put-away and  backorder release

Training;

  • Liaise with the factory on new product, CI and technical training.
  • Disseminate training internally to relevant staff and dealer network.  Train dealer staff in inventory control, merchandising, product and CSI
  • Plan and coordinate dealer PAC product and merchandising training
  • Maintain qualifications by reviewing both new and supplemental training programs as they arrive and mastering the skills and information contained within the programs at Peter Stevens Training and Professional Development Institute.

About you; 

  • You will have demonstrated experience leading a team of Parts professionals to deliver against set targets and to drive industry leading parts services advice and support to our dealer network;
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline would be an advantage;
  • A leadership role and successfully managing a team

Experience in product support and customer/dealer/manufacturer relationship management

You must have a strong Motorcycle Spare Parts background to be considered for this role.
