The Role

X 3 roles - 1 covering the North & East, the other covering the West and 1 covering Mornington.

This role primarily entails building and maintaining strong, mutually-beneficial partnerships. Managing a portfolio of dedicated and committed partners to secure existing business, drive additional business opportunities whilst actively seeking new opportunities within their allocated territory.

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the role will oversee all elements of account management, including nurturing existing relationships with all key customer stakeholders, liaising with internal cross-functional teams, ensuring timely and successful delivery of solutions to our customer and improve the entire customer experience.

Duties

  • Build, maintain, and strategically grow new business with current and new customers for our range of products through regular call cycles and excellent relationships
  • Review existing and ensure new customers meet the partnership criteria, as per our business strategy
  • Networking with business partners and customers
  • Prepare annual customer and/or territory budgets, as requested and required by the business
  • Deliver agreed revenue and profit KPI’s across dedicated customer and/or territory
  • Review, update and provide customer and/or territory forecast updates, as required by the business
  • Prepare and report on agreed KPI’s across existing, new and potential customers, as requested by your Manager
  • Utilise and update our system with any customer detail, such as customer strategy, key contacts, visits, presentations, projects, correspondence and any attachments pertaining to the customer on a daily basis
  • Keeping up to date with market trend and competitor activity, forwarding relevant information to the National Sales Manager.
  • Support the Internal Sales team to resolve any customer issues which may arise, so a timely resolution can be achieved including the efficient management of outstanding customer credits, credit requests, returns and pricing adjustments.
  • Be an effective member of the entire team, contributing to our strategic direction, business decisions, product range opportunities, etc.
  • Attend daily, weekly, monthly meetings as requested and set by your manager
  • Attend training (product/system/policy/other) sessions set out by your manager or the company
  • Assist with training of new staff, when required
  • Assist with ad hoc processes or projects as requested by the business and/or your manager
  • Liaise and establish effective communication with internal sales, operations, warehouse, despatch to ensure we deliver as per our customer’s expectation
  • Lead by example and endorse company behaviours and values
  • Understand, observe, and adhere to, company policies and procedures, including OH&S policies and procedures and at all times, ensure that work practices are conducted in a safe manner

Skills & Experience Required

  • Professionally presented and punctual - always
  • Strong work ethic with a friendly, positive, can-do attitude towards job, people, product and self-potential
  • Pro-active learner; willing and motivated to learn all product, systems and market information
  • An ability to work and contribute as part of a team; see beyond job role, department and division to what matters to the entire business
  • Proven experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Executive or a relevant role
  • Proven sales activity and achievement
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts and products
  • Outstanding communication skills; verbal and written
  • Excellent problem solving and follow-up skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong capability to multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Ability to manage and influence relationships and expectations at all levels of an organisation
