The Client:
Our client is an International manufacturer of high end laminates, splashbacks and associated products for commercial and multi-residential applications. They boast a range of unique products in the Australian market with a number of highly specific features and benefits that give them the edge when securing contracts in various niche applications. As a result, they have supplied a number of the large commercial and multi-residential projects in Melbourne in recent year. They have seen steady growth in both revenues and GP over the last financial year and now looking to recruit a senior sales person to spearhead their sales operation in Melbourne.
The Role:
You will be based in Melbourne and focus your efforts on developing sales with a targeted and specific customer base in the Melbourne metro area. You will be focussing your efforts on winning projects with medium to large Commercial Builders and Fit-out Contractors. Enjoying the benefits of working for a large business you will work in conjunction with both the specification team and the field-based sales team looking after other stakeholders in the sales cycle (Architects through to Cabinet Makers and Joiners). As such, this is a key role and require an applicant with a good technical understanding of materials and/or specifying a high-value product.
The Candidate:
You will be a seasoned professional, it is highly likely you will have a tertiary qualification in a technical discipline such as engineering or building design but this is not essential. It is also likely that you will also have experience in selling a high-value product within the construction industry and a wide knowledge of the sales process. If you have sold an aesthetic building product used on the outside of a building this will be of particular interest.
