As we continue on our journey to become a world class company, we now have an incredibly exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager to manage our Sales teams in the Western suburbs of Melbourne.
Reporting into the General Manager – West and managing a sales team, you’ll be working at both a strategic and operational level, will focus on providing effective people and functional leadership through a strong sales and leading and managing the team to achieve sales targets.
So what’s the role all about?

• Sales and productivity – you’ll manage all pre-construction paperwork procured by the team in order to achieve first time quality and timeframes as well as lead and inspire high performance with the continual injection of market information, sales techniques and solutions. As well as organising and running weekly sales meetings with a focus on continuous improvement and first time quality. From a reporting perspective, you’ll provide comprehensive sales reports and data to support strategic planning whilst maximising sales targets. You’ll also work cohesively and productively with the broader team to ensure a shared understanding of business drivers and operational performance.
• People Management and Leadership – in leading and managing high performing Sales Consultant and Sales Coordinator team members, you’ll optimise individual sales team targets and group outcomes, addressing development needs and supporting career growth. Your continued focus on a positive team and sales culture will result in high levels of engagement and support longer term success and retention strategies
• Business Development and Strategy – here you’ll engage with the General Manager, West and the General Manager of Brand and Marketing to ensure alignment and understanding of all marketing activities. You’ll actively promote Porter Davis and investigate all business development opportunities whilst ensuring the provision of point of sale material and sales strategies are reflective of the Porter Davis brand and reputation. A core part of your role will of course be to maintain and strengthen key relationships with Land Developers as well as identifying and leading opportunities for overall business improvement using an agreed CI framework.
• Customer Service and ‘Respecting the Dream’ – you’ll positively promote and manage the Porter Davis brand via the sales team to the general public, ensure Display Homes are set up and managed to best accommodate our customers’ needs and manage and intercept any escalated customer concerns.
