Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning & Development specialist to join our team. Within this role you will be responsible delivering and evaluating a wide range of learning solutions for all EML business units and in line with the EML people strategy.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop learning solutions based on addressing capability gaps identified, using adult learning principles.
- Deliver learning solutions using effective facilitation techniques to ensure maximum participation and achievement of optimum learning outcomes.
- Present in a professional manner as a representative of the People & Culture team, role-modelling EML’s culture and values.
- Provide feedback and recommendations on course content and structure via the appropriate channels
- Identify when individuals require one on one coaching and where required provide appropriate coaching
- Include assessment methods to ensure and confirm learning. This may be through the training or for certain topics it may be determined a formal assessment is required to certify comprehension of subject material.
- Engage and influence the business unit to ensure that the learning solution implemented is appropriate for the learning need.
- Coach and support managers to assist them with development of their team members.
Skills and Experience Required
- Experience in the development, delivery and evaluation of adult learning solutions
- Experience in Personal Injury Management and or knowledge of the SA Workers Compensation Scheme
- Demonstrated group facilitation skills and management of training courses
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Exceptional skills in relationship development and management
- Advanced influencing and negotiating skills
- Demonstrated internal consulting skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Attention the detail
