The Appointment
Reporting to the senior management, you will be responsible for coordinating and administering the all-important HR & WHS functions for this growing organisation. Your role will be busy, fast paced and you will have the opportunity to sink your teeth in and truly take ownership of your role. Duties will include, but not be limited to:
Your recent experience in a HR/WHS Coordinator or Advisor role will see you hit the ground running and set you up for success in this position. Ideally, you will come from within the food manufacturing industry and possess an understanding of the inner workings of a mid sized manufacturing business.
You are well versed in workplace health & safety regulations and have a collaborative approach to HR and Safety matters whilst still ensuring best practice across the business. You will be a commercially savvy and highly organised individual who is passionate and understands the importance of the work that you do. An energetic self-starter, you will be an effective communicator across all levels and be driven to deliver high quality business outcomes.
Approachable and diplomatic, yet assertive when required, you will be a team player who takes pride in the role you play to achieve wider business objectives.

The Appointment

- Providing line management and staff first response advice and coaching on best practice HR and WHS solutions
- Conducting risk assessments, incident reporting and investigations
- Develop and maintain HR and WHS processes and procedures including SOPs for equipment
- Coordinating recruitment activities as well as processing of new starters (onboarding & inductions)
- Performing administrative/coordination activities across the HR and Safety functions such as updating org charts, safety documentation & tracking registers as well as HR & safety reporting as required
- Coordinating training events and workshops as well as maintenance of training documentation and registers
- Contributing to the development of HR & WHS forms, templates and other documents as well as assisting in the preparation of formal correspondence as required
- Ensure compliance with all legal, company and regulatory standards relating to HR & Safety
- Actively support & participate in site continuous improvement programs
