Human Resources Function in HCL globally focuses on enabling business by hiring and training the right talent, providing the right platforms to up-skill and re-skill and engage in continuous feedback mechanisms as the IT Industry is standing at an inflection point today due to far reaching disruptions fueled by Automation, Robotics, Cloud and Digitalization.

HUMAN RESOURCE CONSULTANT - TRAINEE

We are looking for Trainee to join our enthusiastic HR team and provide support to our Sydney based operations and engage in improved employee experience at a country level

The following descriptions provide general competencies, responsibilities, and education and experience requirements for this position.

The position holder should demonstrate the following competencies:

Specific competencies

• High standard of spoken and written English
• Knowledge of office environment,
• Good command of MS Office applications.

• Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
• Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
• BS/MS degree in Human Resources or related field
• Knowledge of HR systems and databases desirable
• Knowledge of labor law and HR best practices desirable

• Organized
• Priority setting in a job context involving many various tasks;
• Strong inter-personal and communication qualities
• Commitment to deliver and respond in a timely manner to deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the manager in managing the activities of Employee life cycle from hire to retire for about 900 Sydney based employees spread across various customer sites and offices
• Facilitate Employee engagement and Diversity and Inclusion activities and events of the organization
• Manage and Facilitate the HR events, Town halls and Employee felicitation events
• Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
• Nurture a positive working environment
• Work along with the management team in project based activities
• Work with HR team in devising the plans and programs to manage compliances for the region

Qualification Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
