  • 10+ years in the L&D/OD space - private sector experience essential
  • Tertiary qualified - minimum Cert IV qualification in training
  • Build this pivotal role from scratch!

Reporting to Director level you will be charged with the exciting task of building this brand new Learning and Development area.

Joining a business with high expectations, you will be involved in the growth of organisational capability through well thought out and innovative learning platforms. This is the whole gambit!! Extract and analyse business intelligence and core needs; Design workable and effective programs for ongoing knowledge development; Develop and create delivery plans; Execute; and Evaluate effectiveness and impact on business outcomes.

Some elements of this role will incorporate the likes of:

  • L&D frameworks and related policy aligned to business procedures
  • Create an annual training calendar and plans, aligned to the strategic business plan
  • Design and develop training materials and modules, utilising various methodologies and platforms
  • Deliver training and source external providers (as applicable)
  • Mentoring internal team members for training support, enabling in house inclusion
  • Govern, audit and record delivery compliance
  • Evaluate outcomes against business KPIs and continually assess effectiveness
  • Training and L&D budget management
  • Influence business personnel and drive participation initiatives

Our requirement in the area of skill capability is clear - we are looking for an outstanding individual who can bring senior expertise to the table, including private sector, with a broad remit of learning and development experience to draw on. A background from within a product or sales environment would also be beneficial.

Clearer still, is who will fit?! You will have drive and unfaultable commitment to the cause - clearly evidenced through your previous tenure and successful delivery in similar roles. You have previously managed organisational capability development through a change process. You are resourceful and you get involved - doing whatever is needed to execute against expectations. Your initiative and creativity has seen stand-out results in other organisations; and you can lead with an engagement factor that brings others on the ride.
